Christmas Community Celebration

Once again, the mulled wine was prepared, the glasses were set out and the community hub was adorned with Christmas tree, candles and fairy lights in preparation for what has become our annual Christmas Social Event.

This year the event was very well attended with both the weather and local germs at bay!  There was a convivial atmosphere as the local community and regulars from our fortnightly coffee morning a little further afield, joined together to celebrate the season.  We were even joined by our lovely community police officers who paid us a visit and had a chat with everyone.

The wine and beer flowed, the nibbles and mince pies were enjoyed and the sound of lively conversation could be heard as friends and neighbours relaxed and revelled in the company and ambience of the occasion.  People new to the village this year were able to meet their neighbours and forge new friendships. A spectacular raffle had been arranged with a generous array of prizes to suit all winners’ tastes.
